Sharing several plates of little bites over a glass of wine is how I’d like to spend more warm August nights. This kind of meal is best shared with friends.
Any assortment of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern small plate recipes can make up a Meze – a traditional meal served at lunch or dinner. I chose a few dishes that were easy to assemble; some I made a day ahead: hummus, bulgur for the Tabbouleh salad, and strained vanilla yogurt to top the nectarines for a light dessert.
Here are the dishes we shared:
White Bean Hummus with fresh raw veggies and grilled pita wedges
Grilled Halloumi and Fig Kabobs.
