Whisk lime zest, lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, chipotle chili powder, cumin, and salt together in a medium bowl. Add the shrimp and turn to coat. Let them marinate at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Place a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning once, until they're opaque with a little color at the edges. Serve right away.

Zest limes before juicing them. Zesting a juiced lime is a headache, and the zest adds great flavor.
Don't marinate the shrimp longer than 30 minutes. The acid from the lime juice starts to cure the shrimp and will make it too firm.
